You are in the vicinity of the ultimate Truth and significance
Crying “I’ve wasted my life! I’ve wasted my life!” in the death bed would be a horrible thing. We Indians know that the best way to avoid wasting our life is to stay on the road of objective truth. Even our national motto is Satyameva Jayate (Truth Alone Triumphs). We are in this quest for the objective truth for longer period of time than many other civilization. We have made great strides in our journey towards truth.
The sheer existence of God creates the possibility of absolute truths. God’s revelation of who he is, what he wills and what he says is the ultimate and final standard for measuring all things.
But we need to be vigilant in our quest for truth. The sheer existence of God creates the possibility of absolute truths. God’s revelation of who he is, what he wills and what he says is the ultimate and final standard for measuring all things. We cannot close our eyes to these revelations and say that these are true for some people and not true for us. While we can all have individual perspectives on truth, truth itself is independent of all perspectives and is not confined or limited to them. So our search for truth should not be changed into search for personal preferences.
Even though human beings cannot grasp all the mysteries of God, we should grasp all the glory of God that has been revealed to us by God himself. He has given us the capacity to know and worship this awesome glory. We should not short circuit this journey by saying that God is unknowable. He created us to know him personally as he knows us personally and intimately.
The infinitely powerful God of the Bible is Love personified. He takes care of his children day in and day out.
Many of us end our journey at the wrong place saying "I came to realize that I don't exist. I came to see that I was always God." This is an easy place to settle down on this journey of finding truth. But every truth seeker owes it to their soul to know about the God of the Bible. The Bible says he is the alpha and the omega. He existed before the beginning of time. He created every atom of this universe by his words. He is omnipotent and everything he could be, he is and always was and always will be. He never changes. This infinite God is also a personal God. He is an intelligent and knowing being. In fact, he is all-knowing and his understanding is infinite. Not only he can think, he can feel. He possesses feeling or emotion. Since he is unchanging, his feelings are unchanging. For example, he has an unchanging feeling of anger toward evil, and he has an unchanging feeling of pleasure toward good. He also takes pleasure in our faith towards him. In addition to being able to know and feel, God can plan and execute his plan according to his will just like anyone with personality. This infinite personal God is beyond the finite universe. The Bible says “But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you”. Also he is sovereign and controls all creation. The Bible declares that this God is perfect in his nature, knowledge, work, beauty and love.
On account of Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection, a great door has swung open in the cosmos which can never be shut.
Many of us have settled down with lesser gods. But this living God came down to earth 2000 years ago as Jesus, to restore the relationship with us. The Bible says that without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Even though he was blameless, he took the blame for all of our bad karma of past, present and future and died on the cross as a sacrifice. Because he is God, he came back alive on the third day and he still rules over this universe. On account of his sacrificial death and resurrection, a great door has swung open in the cosmos which can never be shut. It’s the door to the prison where we have been kept chained up from experiencing an intimate relationship with this God of the Bible. Now, since the door has been opened, we are all being invited to establish this relationship with God by accepting Jesus as the rescuer or savior of our life.
Yet to all who received Him (Jesus), to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. (John 1:12 & 13)
This relationship is not a regular relationship between God and devotee. Once we establish this relationship, God relate to us as his son or daughter and we can call him as father. Bible Says, “Yet to all who received Him (Jesus), to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. (John 1:12 & 13)
And friend, this relationship is the birth place of true love, true meaning and true significance. It is also very precious because the infinite and powerful God Jesus personally loves us and takes care of us. Also this is the best place to settle down and relax in our tiring journey in this world.
You can pray the following prayer to start your relationsip with Jesus.
Dear LORD Jesus Christ: thank you for restoring my relationship with my God and my Creator. Thank you for shedding your blood for the forgiveness of my sin. I believe in you and I receive you as my personal savior. I understand that by doing so I become the child of God, and I am born of God. LORD Jesus, come and live in my heart and set me free. Jesus, I decide to live as your child from today on. Amen.
